Modoto Pins
A physical enamel-pin collection, a public reference archive, and a long-term attempt to build a fully documented collection of 100,000 pins.
The database separates each distinct design from each physical copy, preserving identification, provenance, market evidence, photographs, sources, and the history of the collection as it grows.

THE 100,000-PIN PROJECT
Modoto’s World Record Attempt
The public Guinness World Records page currently lists 18,431 decorative pins, verified for Arvind Sinha in 2010. A separate later record listing documents Sinha with 24,600 lapel pins in 2011. Modoto’s planned application will be separately defined around a uniquely documented enamel-pin collection, but the goal is still to exceed every published benchmark on the way to 100,000.
The archive begins at the beginning: every intake receives a permanent identity, structured classification, evidence, and collection status so the record documentation does not have to be rebuilt years later.

Physical archive
Every individual pin can have its own permanent item identity, condition, acquisition history, evidence, collection commitment, and exact private storage location.
Reference database
Each distinct design is documented separately from the physical copies, with structured subjects, brands, franchises, characters, styles, colors, materials, variants, and relationships.
Market transparency
Verified purchases, sales, trades, and observations can build a dated price history without confusing asking prices with completed transactions.
