TRANSPARENT BY DESIGN

Advertising Policy

Modoto Studios uses clearly identified advertising while separating owner-reviewed direct campaigns from network-served Google AdSense placements.

Google AdSense

Eligible public pages may contain manual Google AdSense units. Google supplies the network-served creative; Modoto controls where those units are placed and can disable network advertising globally. Paid plans with an ad-removal entitlement do not receive AdSense requests while signed in.

Direct advertising

Advertisements submitted directly to Modoto remain owner-reviewed. Approval of a direct proposal does not imply approval of unrelated network-served creatives, and Google AdSense participation does not create a direct endorsement by Modoto.

Placement rules

Advertising must remain visibly distinct from navigation, account messages, system alerts, download buttons, consent prompts, moderation notices, user posts, and other Modoto interface elements. Important controls must not be obscured or made easy to confuse with an advertisement.

No deceptive design

Direct advertisements may not use invisible overlays, forced redirects, countdown traps, fake close buttons, or accidental-click layouts. Modoto may disable or reposition network units if they interfere with the interface.

Direct-ad files

Direct proposal uploads accept only PNG, JPEG, or WebP images no larger than 1 MB and 2000 × 2000 pixels. SVG, HTML, scripts, animated files, executables, archives, tracking pixels, and remotely executed ad code are not accepted through the direct proposal system.

Destinations and tracking

Direct-ad destinations must use HTTPS. Redirect chains, malware, credential harvesting, fingerprinting, undisclosed tracking, and collection of Modoto account or conversation data are prohibited. Network advertising may use provider advertising technologies as disclosed in the Privacy Policy and subject to applicable consent requirements.

Prohibited direct-ad content

Direct proposals may be rejected for illegal products or services, hate or extremist promotion, sexual content, weapons, recreational drugs, nicotine, gambling, deceptive financial or medical claims, impersonation, harassment, privacy violations, counterfeit goods, copyright or trademark infringement, or content unsafe for the expected audience.

Rights and accuracy

Direct-ad submitters must have permission to use every logo, image, name, statement, and destination included in the proposal. Claims must be supportable and must not misrepresent affiliation with or endorsement by Modoto Studios.

Review and publication

Uploading a direct proposal does not create a contract, reserve inventory, guarantee acceptance, publish an ad, or authorize payment. Modoto Studios reviews each direct proposal manually and may request changes, approve, reject, pause, or remove an ad.

Billing

No payment is collected through the direct proposal form. Price, schedule, impressions, limits, cancellation terms, refunds, taxes, and reporting for direct campaigns must be agreed separately in writing before activation. Google AdSense compensation is governed separately by the applicable provider terms.

Privacy and retention

Direct proposal information is used to review and communicate about the requested campaign. Pending image files are private. Rejected or abandoned proposal files should be removed under Modoto's retention process once no longer needed for review, records, disputes, or legal obligations. Network advertising privacy practices are described in the Privacy Policy.

Policy version

This policy is effective August 10, 2026. Direct campaign terms may add stricter requirements. This operational policy is not a substitute for legal advice or a signed advertising agreement.
